One of the most frustrating things when it comes to being a hardgainer is working your butt off in the gym only to gain a pound or two after a couple of weeks or months. The main reason why we find it so hard to gain muscle mass or even weight in general is due to our body type. Hardgainers tend to have the ectomorphic body type which means a smaller frame, skinny and a super fast metabolism. All this added together creates a very difficult environment to gain muscle.
